Alan Bulfin
Alan Bulfin received MA studying Art in Public from the University of Ulster, Belfast in 2011. He also has a First Class Honors Degree in Sculpture and Combined Media from the Limerick School of Art and Design, 2009. His study interests are dialogic, participatory, interventionist and collaborative in intention and structure. As a public art professional Alan Bulfin has worked in Helsinki Creates Work -project, City of Helsinki, 2014-15. He is a member of Pixelache organization in Helsinki and part of an artist group called Collective Intelligence.
Over the past years Bulfin has exhibited throughout Europe in several curated and touring shows, including Lived Spaces, citywide art festival Pixelache, Helsinki, Yllätyskauppa , together with Pii Anttila, Taidelinja in association with HKL, Hakaniemi, Helsinki, Unrequited Hatred , The Shed, Adapt Galway, Galway, Fake , in the Stedelijk Museum, Aalst, Belgium, (ex)communicate , Jerome Zodo Contemporary Gallery, Milan, Italy, the 10th Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art, The Spectacle of the Everyday , Lyon, France, Ev+a, Too Early for Vacation , Belltable Limerick. Alan was an Open Award winner at Ev+a 2008.
